today there were two shootings that made the top stories on cnn.com the first one was in Ohio (Teacher shot, stabbed in front of students at elementary school) and the second occurrence was in Los Angeles. (Five killed in fiery Los Angeles standoff) The details of each are of course different as well as the outcome. However this could be used by those who want to get rid of firearms in America. For the record I believe that “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” ~ The Second Amendment. (Wikipedia) In cases such as this the person commited the crime not the gun or other tools. Yes guns are “used” in crimes, but they are also “used ” for less destructive activities as well such as putting diner on the table. If you are going to ban guns you should ban hammers, knives, cars, all blunt objects, etc… Man will always find a way to kill a person with what we give to him. The real question is what do we deem “too deadly“? Personally I don’t believe that the firearm is too deadly.
P.S. In the future there will probably be many posts by me concerning incidents such as this, it is something near and dear to my heart. I hunt game in the fall and feel that I should be allowed to continue to do so, and the banning of firearms would all but prevent me from hunting
